Dana - Owner, Head Trainer

Dana’s passion for dogs began at a young age. At just 13 years old, her family had three dogs, two of which struggled to get along due to behavioral challenges. Determined to help, Dana immersed herself in learning everything she could about dog training. What started as searching the internet for answers quickly grew into a genuine commitment to understanding canine behavior.

Over the years, she continued building her knowledge and hands-on experience by training her family’s dogs. In 2020, she decided to pursue dog training professionally and enrolled in Highland Canine Training’s Master Dog Trainer program. After completing the intensive six-month course, she stayed at Highland for an additional five months, working alongside experienced trainers to refine her skills and gain real-world expertise.

Dana then returned home and continued training as an independent contractor for Highland, working with a wide variety of dogs and behavioral needs. After several years, she felt inspired to build something of her own — a training program centered on communication, clarity, and balanced methods. That vision became Element K9 Dog Training.

“When it comes to an owner’s relationship with their dog, there’s often just a language barrier. We speak English — dogs don’t. My job is to bridge that gap by helping owners and their dogs understand each other, create structure, and build a strong, harmonious bond.”
